Newsflash

I cried when I received the news that BB could be cured. Words cannot express the happiness I'm feeling right now - The family went from no hope to complete hope. Thank you everyone for caring enough to want to make a difference to BB's life. G' wasn't wrong when He chose all of us to carry out this project. In His Name, Judy

Great news about Operation Bing Bing. Children's Hope International have agreed to take on BB's case and we're now figuring out the transfer process. Children's Hope is an established institution which decades of experience fundraising and handling adoptions as well as these type of cases. Moreover, Children's Hope have an extensive network of medical contacts and donors. Dr. Dyann went on a site visit this week to Children's Hope and found the organization very 'professional, capable and impressive'.

Treatment Status / Progress:

Bing Bing has received her first batch of 'Electric Convulsive Therapy' treatment. Doctors had previously advised the family that Bing Bing has been under something called 'progressive schizophrenia' for a lengthy period of time that she is most likely be trapped around the age of 8 (the time of her tragic incident) The traumatic incident might also have caused her to suffer from Memory lost - amnesia, therefore 1st batch of treatment will only result to minimal responses/progress. Against all odds, after the first batch of treatment, Doctors said it is a miracle cause Bing Bing shown great signs of improvement

Recovery Status:

- movement with her lips (we think she is trying to speak to us but something is still blocking her verbal communication)
- she smiled when we made jokes (which means she can hear our conversations)
- she squint sometime when a fly touch-down on her face (there is sensation on her skin and she is responding to the sensation)
- most impressive progress is - she can shake hand, if you initiated the gesture of hand shake by placing your hand underneath of hers, her fingers will pull your hand closer to hers

Medication: Risperdal - (Dr. Dyann Chao said this is an 'Anti-Psychotic' medication.. to treat schizophrenia)

Bing Bing has also gained weight to 45kg, and she is looking healthier. Mom said because Bing Bing's appetite has improved and she is now open to various food taste. (recovery to good health starts from good appetite)

Future treatment

Her next scheduled treatment is on November 6th. The doctors will then diagnose Bing Bing further and see how much treatment she needs for the 2nd set of therapy. Evaluation will include additional treatment needs to continue the path of recovery. (there are 3 specialist involved with Bing Bing's case) Also, an estimation of cost will be calculated after consultation
